If you shop via the Flying Club site you get miles.
So if you do an internet shop at Tesco, via the Flying Club site and pay with Virgin Amex do you get points/miles on all three for the same purchase?

Should do - they are independent channels.

I shop through the VS portal all the time and get miles from there as well as my Amex without fail...sometimes it takes a while. A great way of topping up y)

Yes, I can also confirm you get points both ways.

I always use the portal and our amex. It's very quick to start racking up the miles - certainly at the rate I seem to spend.

Great news, didn't know about this and will be giving it a try. Is it 1 point per Pound spent?

For the shopping portal it depends on the retailer, some ofer 4-5 points per £, some higher. For instance Hotels.com is normally 6 miles per £ but is currently offering 12 miles per £. And if you use your VS Amex you get those miles too, and if it's Tesco and your clubcard points are converted to miles, you'll get those too.

Bare in mind that you earn on the cost excluding vat and shipping. It's a good earner though. y) y)

Hello, I went via my Flying Club/Shopping Portal and found many shops including parts of Tesco. However the Tesco groceries link only appears to be offering 400 miles for new sign ups. I can't find a link/info on where I can get 1 mile for 1 pound spent on my normal Tesco shop. Can anyone help!

I haven't used Tesco Groceries - would rather pull my fingernails off - but I can only see it would be useful for a current customer via a mobile.

Purchase Conditions

Desktop orders
The stated reward is only available for new registrations (to Tesco) and making your first purchase on Groceries via a Desktop. If you have made an online groceries purchase with Tesco before you will not receive a reward.

*NEW* Mobile orders
Both new and existing Tesco Grocery customers will earn a lower reward for every grocery purchase with Tesco online via a mobile device.

They are offering 250 miles for downloading the toolbar - it was 500 a few months ago.

Thank heaven, thought I was the only one who never shops Tesco. Waitrose online are on the scheme but from my own and other family experience are not reliable. Much prefer Ocado who alas are not part of Shops Away though I do use my Virgin Amex.

I think it's only Tesco Direct that is a partner and not the groceries.
Which incidentally Mrs D uses all the time and we are very happy with the service.

Your interpretation is correct I think; for Tesco Groceries points are only available for new signups. I assume the OP was referring to Tesco Direct, and follow-ups have been referring more generally to purchases made via Shops Away.
