Alternative lounge access for VS24

I'm excited that they are finally overhauling Terminal 2. It has been in dire shape for a while, but the plans look lovely.

You can get free access to VX lounge with Priority Pass. Not sure it is worth $40 but the alternative to sitting downstairs is not very inviting.

Flew out of LAX couple of weeks ago and was given an invite to NZ lounge without asking so it is still available but not sure what the criteria is.

On the VS7 or 24?

Virgin Atlantic are in talks to open a clubhouse in LAX. it's on their twitter feed.

I've heard from a few VS people that the LAX one is definitely on the cards and an announcement will be soon. I haven't worked out whether it will be in the old NZ space or somewhere else as they slow refurbish T2.

Does anyone have any up to date (i.e. last few weeks) experience of "The Loft" - is it up to a reasonable standard now? Is their an alternative lounge now for T2, or is basically The Loft or nothing?

Keep looking to see if anyone has added anything further about "The Loft" at LAX T2.
Travelling through there again next week. If it's as bad as last time I tried, might give it a miss - unless someone can advise otherwise!

Still as was I fear. And with the VS24 ceasing to exist from October I can't see them making any different arrangements.

After flying many times on VS24, next week will probably be the last for me. I've had to book the Delta flight for November. Might try one last time to see if I can use the AirNZ lounge, for old times sake...!
