Seat Map Question and Equipment Swap

So I have a seat selection question and seat map related. I am flying MCO - LGW in October and I went to pick my seats this morning. I was able to secure two seats on the upper deck for economy which is what I wanted but I'm confused with looking at the rest of the map. It is showing a configuration with UpperClass upstairs and models one the LHR based birds. Do they swap things out from time to time? I just want to make sure I can still fly in the upstairs when the time comes and I don't get bumped to the last seat in the back for the plane. Thanks in advance

Hi, a few V-Flyers have noticed the same thing this week when requesting seats.

It is not unusual for VS to "borrow" an LHR 744 to cover for an LGW one, probably to allow for maintenance.

As with all seat requests they are never guaranteed and should the aircraft type change again you would lose your selection. So if it's important, keep checking back every so often.

Note also that, if economy's not particularly busy, they sometimes decide not to use the bubble and move everyone downstairs. This happened to one V-Flyer recently when he tried to do OLCI at T-24.

Thanks for the info. Totally understand not using the bubble if not needed. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it and see. Thanks again.
