Gate to Gate IFE

Just wanted to check a point. According to a thread on another board you can now use your own headphones gate to gate with the IFE, originally I was under the impression that you needed to use the VS ones during take off and landing, can anyone clarify what the position is?

You can use your headset at any time now :-)

Theres a little sign that tells you their headsets will break in an emergency and that yours probably won't. I figure it must cover their liability.

They also state that their headphones will ensure you hear any crew announcements...
