Delighted

After looking like I was not going to get the dates / flights I wanted for my holiday next year....
With a little flexibility ive managed to get 2 UC reward seats going London to Chicago, which was reasonably easy
AND also managed to get 2 x UC reward seat returning from LAX to LHR.

It looked almost impossible to get 2 seats form the West coast but I got lucky.

Very exited now.... Only downside is im driving after we land on our way out so I cant take full advantage of the booze.

Roll on 2015!!

Firstly well done and congratulations. I love it when a plan comes together.

We used to land and drive, but the last few years have always booked an airport hotel so we can relax and be fresh for the drive. In fact now we do an airport hotel before the flight as well even though we are only 45 miles from Gatwick.
It does mean it take 3 days to get to our destination but if you can do it in style then it's all part of the holiday.

I agree, staying at nice airport hotels is a great start to any holiday and also it is important for me at the end of a long flight as I rarely sleep on board (usually far too excited to sleep, lots of films to watch/ snacks to eat/ drinks to imbibe...), so even in a flat bed, I need some rest before a long drive back down to Devonshire.

The Sofitels at LHR and LGW are great. Not cheap but some bargains can be had if you keep an eye open on the hotel websites (lastminute.com etc).

Well done, great result. I love that feeling of knowing I've got my tickets booked and I'm flying UC on Y money. Sooooo good!
