I see that the VS201 flying from HKG to LHR operated by G-VSSH (Sweet Dreamer) has turned back to HKG and is due to land shortly.

Hope whatever the issue is it can be resolved quickly for passengers and crew.

Flight VS201 has Diverted to Hong Kong

We are sorry to advise that flight VS201 departing Hong Kong 10th August, arriving London Heathrow 11th August, has been diverted.

The aircraft is returning to Hong Kong. This will delay the arrival of the flight until 12th August. We are currently working to reschedule this flight and will update this page with revised times just as soon as possible.

Any customers requiring hotel accommodation at Hong Kong during the delay will be provided this by our airport team. Customers who no longer wish to travel may apply for a full refund from their original point of sale.

^^ an idea to cite where you copied that from kensteve ^^

VS Flight status is now showing this:

We are sorry to advise that flight VS201 has returned to Hong Kong. This is due to a disruptive passenger on board which required us to return to the airport.
As a result of this the flight will now be subject to a 24 hour delay. The flight is now scheduled to depart from Hong Kong at 23:25 on 11th August and arrive into London Heathrow at approximately 05:20 12th August (all times in local time). The delayed flight will also be referred to as flight VS1201.

A disruptive passenger it seems n( n(

That would certainly seems fair to me! Perhaps that's why I'm not a judge :o)

A pre-emptive strike agains EU 261/2004 claims perhaps?

24 hours seems a long delay, I assume the crew were out of hours after turning around 90 mins into the flight. Probably closer airfields available but they'd rather get back to a VS base.

90 minutes is a 3 hour delay minimum on a 12 hour flight, plus turn around time. You'd be pushing 16 hours so yes, crew well out of hours.

Probably return to HKG as you say, a VS base with a very good supply of hotels.

Yup, sat in Hong Kong premium plaza lounge staring at two vs craft parked... Departures have vs201 scheduled from gate 31 with a one hour delay. Vs1201 leaving from gate 45 on time at 2325.

Sadly not on va metal this evening... Cx metal back to Dubai.... But 491 awaits me on Wednesday.
