Hi

I'm flying Little Red at the weekend LHR to EDI. When I fly this route with BA I take a carry-on case plus a satchel with a laptop. Am I right in thinking Little Red won't allow this and I'll have to check my carry on case. Looking at the OLCI it looks like a very empty flight so I'm wondering if they'll just let me take it all on. Anyone got any experience of this?

If the satchel fits under the seat in front of you, they may well allow it.

Don't count on it being an empty flight though - EDI's a pretty busy route now, and with the Fringe in full swing I can't imagine it'll be quiet.

The seat map isn't an accurate guide - a lot of passengers don't choose seats in advance.

Your satchel can count as your personal item. The hand luggage allowance is the same as longhaul economy - one piece plus one personal item. I almost always have my carry on case plus my shoulder bag and never have any problems.

They often do an announcement at the gate asking people to check-in larger items of hand luggage if the flight is busy. Don't know how many people end up doing this. As long as your satchel fits under the seat in front you will be fine.
