Having used the AMS trick to great success ^) I am now now thinking of using this in the off season as such, in November. But have a stumbling block. My query is the return leg.
I need to get back to manchester but it's being a nightmare, so I will do a normal return to AMS, which stops at LHR/LGW. The question is, if i book flights from LHR - MAN as one way is it likely to show up where when returning to UK and causing an issue? As I should be on flight from LHR/LHW -AMS. I have worked numerous theory's and this appears the best possible solution.

My return journey would be from LAS

I can't see t causing a problem. You just won't be able to check your bags through to MAN.

Sorry yes I know collect bags at London. Just wondered if they queried as I would be on another booking, but didn't know what they have access to.

Assuming that your London-AMS sector is with BA and your London-MAN sector is with Virgin I think you'll be fine. It may be a different story if you tried to book to be on two flights of the same airline at the same time.

It would be a flight back with VA. That's what I was thinking, probably have to come back with another airline.

If it's a seperate booking then it won't cause any problems at all.

No problem at all. When I've done the AMS trick, I've always had an onward booking from LHR-ORK on Aer Lingus on a separate ticket.
