Just booked our winter holiday to Jamaica.

Used my Amex voucher to get my seat in PE. Used points to get hubbys. Now my hunt for a G fare for him begins :D I owe him one from last time as he allowed me to take the last remaining UC seat for the way home. And also if he gets one he can guest me into the CH before we fly so not all bad news.

Edited : I've just doubled checked and we are both on a "P" code is this correct ??

Hubbys FC - 02 Nov 2014 Reward: Virgin Atlantic, LGW-MBJ Prem. Econ. rtn -70000 0

Mine -02 Nov 2014 VAA Credit Card Rwd: Upgrade Econ.to Prem.Econ.rtn 0 0
02 Nov 2014 Reward: Virgin Atlantic, LGW-MBJ Economy rtn -45000 0

Does this mean If I can find a G for me also I can upgrade too ?? ?|

On a separate note :If you plan/do stay at Sandals I have found a very good way to save money, apologies if I'm going over something already discussed. I accidently (luckily) went onto the .com site instead of the .co.uk site. The room I have booked was £1300 cheaper for 1 week on the sandals.com site than if I had booked on the .co.uk site :0 . Not sure why, and I have spent £500 more than I was going to in a different lower category room but it was just too good for me to say no to :D

If you find a G for yourself you can upgrade to it, but not in conjunction with the PE Amex reward voucher.

So that voucher would be taken out of the equation and credited back to your FC account and you'd be charged the relevant miles and taxes/fees to upgrade from Economy to UC.

At least that's what happened to me when I did the same thing in March.

Oh and congratulations on the Sandals deal. Many things cost more if bought in the UK compared to elsewhere - not least air fares and iPads/iPhones. Why do they charge us more? Because they can I guess.

Thank you gumshoe for the info on the Gs/rewards.

Thanks to the latest 20% extra Tesco conversion hubbys FC account is looking quiet healthy :D
