Hi Guys

I am just 10 days away from being able to select my seats, does the option to book happen at midnight 60 days before or at the time of the flight. So we fly at 13.00 on the 29th Oct so would I be able to book my seat at 13.00 on the 30th August or midnight?

Hope this makes sense.

So you may be at 60 days and 5 hours but you will still be able to reserve. I was at 60 days 8 hours and mine went through.

The servers for Virgin are located in California I believe and they are 8 hours behind uk time hence they go over at midnight their time 8am ours. linda

I'm 2 days behind you Ally67, so will be poised at my laptop on the Monday morning! Hope you get the seats you want.

We're going on our first ever UC flight on 31st Oct, so really looking forward to it. Just hope I can get the seats I have my eye on.

I'll be doing mine tomorrow morning, at 8.00 as usual, even though I expect I'll find that no-one else is interested! It's usually only V-Flyers who are keen to reserve seats this early. Good luck for your seats. And enjoy your flights.

Well there must be plenty of V-Flyers on my flight because although I was sitting there with my cursor poised over the submit button as the PC clock clicked over to 0800, I didn't get my first choice of seats. The 8 PE seats available to book in the bubble went within 60 seconds. And all bar one window/aisle set of 2 PE seats downstairs went within 24 hours. :0

I think some of the PE seats in the bubble are held by VH for their customers, keep checking nearer your departure as some may be released if VH haven't sold them

Whenever I've done t-60 @ 8am I've always been the first to request. Even after a week nothing had been taken.
I'd love the challenge of a flight full of v flyers just to get the ultimate seat requests and SEQ n0!

Well I did my seat requests at T60 for the outbound leg (4&5A on A330) and was the first. When I went back a week later to do the return leg, only a 4 or 5 more gone, I agree that's it's probably only v-flyers who are keen. Either that or the cabin isn't very full.

I found exactly the same on summer trip, but on both legs the cabin was full on the day.

It presumably varies by cabin, so PE on a flight heavily used by VH will always be a matter of being quick on the draw?

Ally67 wrote:Oh by the way what does the seq no mean that everyone mentions?

If you get seq 1 it means you were the first person to check in for your flight

Just done my seat allocations and got 4A/5A in UC as I wanted. No-one else seemed to be there. Got 17 days til I can do the return PE seats but will be checking back on a regular basis to make sure Virgin don't move me around!

We're going to Barbados, Ally67. It's my second home, 24th trip in 25 years. Love the place, the weather and the people. We do go to other places each year but usually get one trip in. Haven't had a second holiday in this year so hence the treat of UC.
