So after many many years of being stuck on red I've finally managed to get to silver membership... not many "real world" benefits attached to it as I always fly premium so the main advantage of being able to use PE check-in is null and void but its nice to be closer to gold.

Now for the questions... As I now have a new flying club number I tried to update my next flight with the new number, the message came up saying details saved but my old number still shows on the booking. I suspect this is more virgin IT issues than anything so I'm not worried but it got me thinking do I need to update the new number on things like my virgin amex, tesco club card and heathrow rewards or is my old number still somehow linked to my account?

Any help would be very much appreciated oo) oo)

Hi,

You don't need to update any numbers, they are all linked in the background so everything will just be posted normally.

I don't recall doing anything when my number changed and my amex still goes to my account.
Of course I may have notified and forgotten I did so I'll watch this thread with interest.
My Tesco's wasn't on auto convert.

Going to America? Delta short hops in First Class can often be had for £100 or so, and they're worth 3 TPs each. That's probably the cheapest way to hit the magic 40 - as long as you were already going to the US.

In the UK, Little Red flights tend to be around £50 or sometimes less, and they earn 1 TP each.

When i went into my account after getting Silver in comes up in silver with your new account number automatically, when I went down to red it reverted to my old number. Linda

As far as I can tell, everything updates automatically. I've yet to have any issues, although just out of habit I updated details for Heathrow Rewards and e-Rewards just to make sure. I don't think it needed to be done, though.

Regarding Ag, I think the best element of it is the 50% miles bonus on flights; it's amazing how quickly the miles add up! But yes, I'm definitely hoping it'll be a stop gap and that we'll fly enough to reach Au in the next 12 months. *crosses fingers*
