Morning all from the clubhouse.

Just went to book my safety shave to be told it is now £15. Erm.. Ok, no thanks then. It doesn't really make sense to me because while I'm in there I can't drink, so my mission is to now drink more than £15 of champagne in the next 30 minutes.. 2 glasses down, 2 to go.

Enjoy your drinking. Hope the lack of a shave doesn't make you look like you've been out on the tiles all night !!!!

Mission accomplished with ease... It's ok Hiljil I've been to Boots and I'll shave myself so by the time I get to immigration at ORD I'll be clean shaven at least...

Yes, I noticed the free back and shoulder massage has also gone on my last time through. I think you can still get headrub or something...

£15 for a shave!!!!
I bought a pack of 5 disposable razors in Sainsbury in Dundee
for 13 pence. Each on lasts me a week. So I get three shaves for 1p.
Of course it does cost £90 to fly up on little red to Edinburgh and £40 hire a car to drive to Dundee, but even then it still works out at less than £4 a shave.

Ha ha, good one :D

There are still 5 (at my last count) complimentary body treatments and a few haircut and grooming options too.... not too bad for airline lounge freebies in my experience.

Hope you didn't let it spoil your time in the CH and had a good flight Hoppy 8D

I also was surprised to find that the safety shave is now chargeable in Revivals as well. It's a shame because it was something I always looked forward to after a long flight (I hate shaving myself).

In a way I am not surprised since it was the last 30 minute treatment that was free. But it was a big differentiator compared to BA's arrivals experience.

I noticed the previously-free shoulder massage is now 15 pounds. To be honest, I'm not that fussed about paying for some of the treatments (I'm certainly not a sense-of-entitlement-Mail-reader) but I do miss that one being free :S

That said, so long as the steam shower and jacuzzi are there, I will never complain.

ah thats a shame.
i noticed that some of the facials have too been reduced.
well they are a business but still a bit of a shame when these things happen. wonder if they are going to use the money to pay their inhouse IT department?
