Give my love to Richard

I have just been speaking to the premier team and without mentioning V-Flyer is any shape or context I was asked by the lady I was speaking to 'Give my love to Richard'. She was of-course referring to LRoM. So I assume that V-Flyer is well known by the premier team.

LOL.. it has to be said that LRoM is well known at VS Towers, Crawley. However, how they would connect you to him - if you didn't mention V-Flyer -is a bit puzzling!

sorry but I've got to ask cos it's bugging me, where did the name LRoM come from?

He is a Lord of course, but he does'nt like to mention it a lot, I sneeked a view of his name on his Stratosphere awards card,there it was LROM, but Richard was a little annoyed as it was blue and not black.

Several members have commented that VS crew/staff know of v-flyer so I suppose word gets around!;)[8D]

I rekon they work out v-flyers based on your VF and VS.com usernames matching up, but that is of course just a guess.

I thought it was LRoM because he always goes a'leaping on the 2nd January.

just an FYI there was a note on LRoM and LSoM's account telling any workers that they were to be greeted with "your highness"....Of course they never played so this went out the window[n][:#]

Oh, you are naughty! Of course while it is fine to refer to LSoM as Lady Sarah (despite the little Britain overtones) I think the correct address for LRoM should have been m'lord rather than your highness. He should of course also sign his postings (and his cheques) with just 'Mannon', but he doesn't.

IIRC (and the memory's very hazy ), LRoM - or Lord Richard of Mannion to give him his full title - was so christened at the first Riverboat Shuffle. We felt it was only proper to recognise his position within the Landed Gentry, and accordingly grant his serfs & minions the honour of serving a noble Lord....

A worthy gesture, but I'm afraid that this would not be the correct protocol - M'lord & M'lady would do just fine

You are of course correct,but try thinking of the correct term'sat 5 am on a boring morning,plus your highness sounds a whol lot better.

He alledgedly has money printed with his own picture on it, but as no one has actually seen him dish out money it could be just a myth:D:D

To add to the prestige afforded to LRoM, Linda and all the staff at the Gatwick Clubhouse send their regards and wonder why they have not seen you for some time:D:D

I of course mentioned that LRoM's busy schedule sometime necessitated dealing with his tennants;);)

I leave you lot alone for a couple of days, and look what happens...

Most of the people in Premier have (or have access to) a V-Book, and certain people at Premier are known (I'm not the only one here!).

Yes it is true I hate paying for things in cash, I prefer my AmEx (it is all about the points!).

Buns - Yes I know I have neglected to visit the lovely people at the LGW CH this year, I did send my parents in there in October though. As alaways the staff did their upmost to deliver the very best in customer service. I may have to see if I can drop by real soon.

On a separate note, thank you to all our members that have contributed this year to the site. I hope you found the information and sense of community here to your liking. I have at least 4 West Coast flights to complete in the next few weeks, so I will be spending some time going through the process of updating the V-Book ready for the next version (those at the LAS event will remember seeing my draft copy with all the post-it notes hanging out of the top of it!).
