"Passengers complained about being herded around like sheep, with distressing scenes of tired, exhausted families ambling around like zombies. Chaotic queues and a sense of abandonment made this airport feel like it was truly the edge of civilisation. And then the airport was evacuated."

Ha ha spot on billy , after my last trip through there a few weeks back I was going to start a thread about it but decided against it due to the amount of swear words I would have used

Last time I used Luton Airport it wasn't that bad going out, coming back felt like stepping back into the nineties and the staff who work at the car park were very strange. It a trip coming up out of Stansted, really not looking forward to that, have had to complain already but at least I have got fast track passes now. Have not seen anyone gave a good review of that airport, luckily I am flying Ryanair so should be ok once on the plane :$

STN is nothing special, but nothing to be afraid of....

Although parking in long-stay at STN is to be avoided. The mid-stay car parks have decent bus service, but have been left waiting 60 mins on a bus to get back to car on > 1 occasion from STN.

In many cases for me, despite STN being the nearest airport, LTN or LGW is better if a driver not dropping me off.

Have booked Meet and Greet parking. Having an issue with it as Ryanair have changed the flight times, website not that easy to change times and they have now charged me twice. No email contact on website and wants you to call a premium number, no response on Facebook. Have even emailed their CEO and they still can't sort it.

The CEO of Manchester Airports not RyanAir, the change of flight times actually suits us, will be able to eat at a normal time at the other end! Have only flown once from Stansted years ago. Wishing I had picked BA from T5 now. (I don't think Manchester Airports care either though!) Maybe he will be on undercover boss in a couple of years, mmmm

I did STN on a weekly basis for a couple of years. As I say, it is fine. And to fly from there I have to go nowhere near the M25...
