AMEX Centurion Lounge at LAS

Morning all,

Just doing a little research for my Vegas trip and it looks like my DL flight to SEA is from the D gates at T1.

Has anyone used the AMEX Centurian Lounge?
Is it worth getting there early enough to use it or just rock up in time to board.

For me personally, the whole 'lounge experience' bit is part of the fun, we used this lounge on the return from last trip prior to LAS SFO Virgin America flight. It is as some said not much to write home about when you stand it next to the Virgin Atlantic lounges but I really liked the decor, the furnishings, the veggie offerings were delish and the bar was pretty cool...the other half has just piped up that it was the best grub he's ever had in a lounge and loved it..never try never know I suppose.

I've heard varying reports as to whether an amex platinum card holder has to pay the $50 entrance fee, or get's in for free...

Anyone know?

I have a Platinum AMEX so access is OK for Mrs Hull and I, maybe we'll plan on have a light lunch there and of course a cocktail or two ):

Don't forget that with Centurion you can also access the DL lounges free.

Getting to this lounge seems a bit vague to me...

Most of the online description refers to the D concourse.

But not which terminal. This is one of the few times I've actually seen it as mentioned as in Terminal 1.

Few times I've seen mention of getting from T3 to T1, in the sense of arrivals onto connecting flights.

However, sitting at T3, waiting for the virgin plane back, can I find my way to the Centurion lounge? Easily?

My visions of a Terminal change, and indeed a international terminal vs a domestic terminal change is that its a complicated and prohibited process.

The D gates are accessible from from both T1 and T3. You just hop on the automatic people mover. D gates was perfect for us as we were flying AA and the departure gate was a minutes walk away.

For a 3rd party lounge it was very good when we were there the other week. It is very popular though and finding seats can be a problem. Food was nice, and the bar (free) looked popular.

Amex Plat gets in for free, plus TWO guests.
