I know I can get FC miles if I fly VS booked via VH but what i I were to book the package holiday via Walt Disney World Travel Company? Do I still get FC miles if the flight is with VS?

Yes that shouldn't be a problem. If you get a VS PNR to log in and manage your flight you can add your FC number, or you could even give it to the travel agent. If all else fails, just have your FC card / number with you when you arrive at airport check in to ensure your miles and TPs are credited.

Don't forget that as a Flying Club member booking with VH over the phone you should get a discount and some miles on top of the miles earned from the flights...

Red members receive a 7% discount plus 1 mile for every £1 spent on the total value of your booking.
Silver members receive a 7% discount plus double miles, that’s 2 miles for every £1 spent on the total value of your booking.
Gold members receive a 10% discount plus double miles, that’s 2 miles for every £1 spent on the total value of your booking.

I'm having a few challenges getting the miles credited from my summer booking but persistence will pay off.

I booked with disney last year as their price was better than VH and can confirm that yes you do get the usual miles an tier points for flying VS.

With the added bonus of being able to customise your magic band and choose a colour.
