hi,
wonder if anyone can help with this,

just booked a bargain trip to LAS leaving from Dublin, however the first part of the flight is with BA flying into LHR, the next part of my trip leaves from LGW the following day with Virgin. This means i have to get myself from LHR to DUB to begin my ticketed trip as I'm based in the Uk.

Do i have to take the first BA leg of this trip? I'm guessing there not going to check me right through as i'm leaving the following morning from a different airport and with a different airline.... Going to need those bags for my overnight at the airport hotel :)

any ideas?

thanks in advance

Yes you must fly the first leg DUB-LHR. If you don't the rest of the booking may be cancelled as you'll be deemed a no show.

If you don't want to take your luggage to DUB you can always leave it at your airport hotel or in a left luggage facility.

YES you do have to take the BA flight!

If you don't the entire ticket will be cancelled. Believe it or not but airline systems do talk to each other about who has checked in (or not)

As to your bags that is a different issue. You will be able to check them in at LGW on the day of your flight to LAS. In any case even if you took them to DUB with you you would still have to collect them at LHR and transfer them to LGW yourself.

Yes, you do have to take the first leg otherwise the whole trip will be void.

Can you not leave your bags in a left-luggage place in either LHR or LGW and just take an overnight bag over to Dublin?
