Upgradable fare codes and stuff..

Bit strange, I've found that there's actually two UC seats on my outbound flight, and booked already in PE. Yet on the ita matrix, it seemed to not be giving out Y/S fares, or M even now. So what is the status of Y/PE upgradable fare codes at the moment. Turned off after n days before the flight? Switched off? I remember back when they switched from something like L to M, when I was looking.

Seems a nice prospect for at least part of the trip in UC, but I didn't bank on the upgradable fare codes being difficult to find. Ball park figure for an W or S to Vegas if its a matter of phone em up?

Like MoJoJo says best to ring FC. However be clear what you are requesting - I was actually given wrong advice this week when both myself and travel partner needed to 'buy' an extra 5,000 miles each in order to get an upgrade G ticket LHR to LAX & return from SFO. I purchased the total 10000 miles onto my account as instructed. But this was wrong info and it meant I had 5000miles too many and OH was 5000 miles short

All sorted in the end but it was a pain and in the meantime the upgradeable fare from economy went from £1089 to £1115 pp
Still a brilliant deal for UC

My BA AmEx card is not being used from now on - saving for Virgin air miles only from now on
