Good morning all from LHR CH. CDC was a few minutes early, everyone nice and friendly, DTCI and security a breeze.

Got my redhead to drink (never tried them before and, ooh lovely!). I'm here for the next 5ish hours so better pace myself :w :w

Got my shave and head massage booked. Not too busy here but was earlier I think. Very warm though and I'm only in a polo shirt.

Guy in front of me at the spa was waiting for his complimentary shoulder massage and they were running late, he was close to boarding time I think. He was not happy, "I don't need this kind of stress" and "it's unacceptable". Calm down dear, it's a complimentary massage not a life changing experience!

Anyway, this is my third attempt at leaving a message, bloody iOS 8 keeps freezing the keyboard :|

Oh, and my boarding card isn't purple, what's all that about ?|

Hi Blacky yes I did, it was a few pounds dearer than my guaranteed price at The Loews, but the room as I said is so much bigger (and from the pictures I preferred the decor!). I'll let you know what's it's like.

We shan't try the Emerald Lounge, it's not really our thing and the dress code is 'smart casual designer' - so not me, or 'im indoors either, but the rest of the hotel looks fab.

I got reservations at Atlantic Fish for Saturday night, left it a bit late knowing we're in peak season for the foliage etc, so couldn't get a table before 9.30!! Anyway, I'll see if the concierge can influence an earlier table, you never know.

Well I've been a good boy and am just about to have only my third redhead, plus I tried a shot of the haig club. I'm not a whisky drinker but it was lush. So I went to duty free to get some but can't do a collection on return if flying outside eu so haven't bothered. I'll buy it on amazon!

Menu in here has changed too so I'm just about to chow down on some soup noodles :)

Hamster, I've had boarding cards before woth purple print and a purple block I think. This is plain white with black text, very boring and not VS!

John, instead of Amazon, try a local liquor store. If the ones in NJ are the same, you'll get 1.75 litres for an unbelievably cheap price. OH got 1.75 litres of Johnnie Walker Black Label for 60 dollars the other day.

Have a wonderful time.

Yes plain white now. Early 2011 they appeared at Heathrow (with purple disappearing), took a while to use up old stock at other locations though.

Have you had purple ones recently?

Have a great flight john,
If you send the boarding card to pass book it's purple and looks very attractive.

Thanks Darren, got that and agree. Anyway I'm here now and about to crash for the night after pizza and fries, but first I have to post something special.

Just to clarify first, I wouldn't complain at all!

But I'm not sure 'its a complimentary massage' isn't the best answer.
Its surely all part of the 'Virgin Experience', some people spend a lot of money for UC tickets, rather than 'complimentary' its part of the UC 'package'.

But as I said, I wouldn't of complained myself!
