First time in UC - questions

First time in Upper Class flying LGW to BGI on the 27th November.

Have a couple of questions:

What time does the Clubhouse open in the morning?
Is the inflight menu published anywhere? If not, any idea on meal choice available?

I'm also set for my first UC flight soon, and I've found that YouTube helps alot, of you search something along the lines of "Virgin Atlantic Upper Class" can bring up videos where the publisher even add the menus

typically there's a beef a chicken and a veggie option, remember you can also specify meal type (vegan, etc. etc.) by going into 'manage my flight' in your FC account, even if you've no specific dietary need it's a way to get something different - on BA i often choose hindu veg and have had a few really nice meals, way better than the standard BA fare

for the CH get there for opening to enjoy the brekkie and start on the bubbly!

It is 7am for the LHR CH but it's earlier for LGW. I think we were settling in at 6.30 am in the summer.

I have entered the LGW CH at 6.35am before after watching the shutters come up at 6.30am . Was going to try limbo under the doors but hubby said it was not allowed .

It was 6.35am when I was there this summer.

Try a few TR's to see if anyone has posted a recent menu.

Many thanks for your replies. Looks like the consensus is a 6.30AM opening time of the LGW clubhouse. We'll be there shortly after to make the most of the experience.

I looked at some recent UC trip reviews and some do contain the menus, so thanks for that tip. Is catering out of LGW the same as out of LHR because the menus posted where from ex LHR trip reports?
