We're flying back from MCO to MAN tomorrow evening at 1845, but will arrive in to Orlando around 1100. Is there something we can do with our luggage so we don't have to drag it around all day? What time does UC check in open? Is there some other place we could safely leave our bags?

Why not check in at DownTown Disney.

If your in Upper, a Gold card holder or with VH, its free, otherwise a $10 service.

Its located at Cirque du Soleil (the Big white building to the left)

Opens around half eight to lunchtime

According to the VA website MCO guide counter check-in opens at 13.30

I'd check the MCO airport website for any left luggage facilities where you could leave your bags if that suits you better

We're flying into MCO from Miami so DTD not really an option unfortunately.

Have checked and all the left luggage places have gone due to "security reasons"

Are there any hotels located within the airport complex itself? Maybe a cheap room would be best...

There's a Hyatt right inside the airport, doubt it's particularly cheap though.

Can your luggage not be checked straight through from MIA to MAN?

Thanks for the tip - managed to get a day room at the Hyatt for $99. Will report back on how it works out but looks very good value for the four of us with 5/6 bags as it includes full use of the hotel facilities including the rooftop pool and bar.

Checking straight through wasn't really a possibility as we needed access to our bags between the MIA-MCO flight and the MCO-MAN one - bit of bad planning on my part!

That's a great price. I love the MCO Hyatt Regency and we stay there one night when arriving before a drive up to South Carolina. I'll have to think about using it on the way back too as we usually end up with quite a long airport wait and the Delta lounge is not the best.

Ok, so this is actually a really good deal if there are a few of you with some hours to kill at MCO. $99 gets you a room with two double beds between 10:00 and 18:00, somewhere to dump the luggage, have a little snooze but best of all it comes with all the amenities you'd get with an overnight stay.

Currently typing this sat by the pool in the sun on the roof terrace, using the free wifi :) 'Er indoors is just using the fitness suite and our holiday mates are getting some sleep. In a bit we'll get some lunch then maybe get a cab to the Florida Mall for a bit of shopping or poss just lounge around in the sun some more... Decisions, decisions!

Due to various changes of plan we ended up needing to fly into MCO on a separate ticket to the return UC flight to MAN. I was a bit anxious that with them not being ticketed together any delay on the MIA-MCO route might cost us our revenue UC flights - no way I was having that so got the early AA flight to Orlando to give plenty of leeway. As it is, it's all worked out nicely, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this option if anyone needs to while away a few hours here.
