Well, it shouldn't have been a surprise since I did select the option at booking, but this morning I received an email informing me that my bid of £170 to upgrade outbound flight LHR>BOM to PE was successful.

I think £170 was the lowest I could have bid.

Was it a good deal for me? Not sure considering my full return ticket on Economy was £460. Never mind, I look forward to flying in a little more comfort on Saturday. :)

Certain you will enjoy the experience - it is way better than economy.
You paid a fair price but not a steal. To buy a roundtrip in PE would cost about £800 (£400 each way) which is what you paid.
If you were willing to pay £170 extra for PE then I would suggest next time just buy it then you know for sure you have a nicer seat.

I'd comment closer to 700 in the sale earlier on month for roundtrip to bom - including taxes in PE.

PE to Bom is highly reccomended though - I've had best service on any plane of my entire life on that route. The crews on the BOM route are one of the best on entire network - it'll be a shame when the route goes.
