So I've started to prepare myself for the seat selection which apparently will be available for PE/UC for all pre-booked flights from next Tuesday :0 . I have the following premium cabin flights booked already, all of which I'm travelling with the hubby. I know that there are bits of advice floating on this site, but I've ran out of patience looking into it too much more, so Would very much appreciate your advice on the below:

LHR - ORD in UCDS (A330) and the return journey - I'm thinking two of the 3-6A or K? Is there a "better" side in terms of views coming into and leaving Chicago?

LHR- SFO in UC (744) I'm thinking, 2&3A or K? Are all the UC seats on the upper deck equally as good?

LAS - LGW in UC (744) 8&9A or K?

Finally, GND-LGW (on LGW A330) in PE 20A&C/H&K or 22A&C/H&K (wanting to stay upfront so meals don't run out :o)

Any advice is much appreciated! y)

No I think it's referred to as the A zone in the nose. If you get the first 2 seats 6 A&K I think, then you and hubby would be almost toe to toe, very romantic apparently.

For the ORD flights I would highly recommend sitting on the A-side for the outbound flight into Chicago, and K-side on the way back. If the weather is right you can get a fantastic view of the city from Lake Michigan on the way in, and returning as it disappears from view. :)

As far as specific seat numbers, I can't be too much help!

Very spacious

Another vote for the lower deck, pointy end, trying for 12A and 12K...that's my target for Tuesday at 8 a.m. No passing traffic, easy to play footsie and to dine together.

Thank you guys! That's really helpful.

Going to follow all of those - will try for the 12 A and K on the LHR-SFO and 6A and K on the LAS-LGW.

If these are taken, would you recommend an A&K combo or a 7&8 say on the same side?

@GasMonkey - do you mean the actual A seats on the UCDS?

My favourite on the Gatwick config too.
It does mean no immediate overhead locker, but cabin crew will always sort something out. It is like having your own little space up front.

I'd either opt for 7A and K or go a little further back and choose either both on A or K. In 7 your toes are still quite close to those on the other side of the aisle...

Thank you pjh.

That might be difficult as I'm a mere 5'3 and Mr W is about 5'8 (despite his claims to be 5'10... :? )

I should add though that being able to touch our toes isn't a top priority :o)

:# Clearly romance is dead...

Just to clarify, I meant don't go for a 7 and 8 on the same side as whoever is in 7 will be touching toes (or close to :w ) with the stranger opposite...
