Hi all,

We're travelling Man - LHR - Mia tomorrow in PE and just wondered where best to enquire about upgrades on the day. There seem to be 16 UC seats free at the moment and we also have access to the CH at LHR.

Can the CH process an upgrade (if available) or is it best to find the ticketing office at LHR. We will already have boarding cards and our baggage will be through checked from Man - so no real need to go to the check in desks at LHR.

Thanks.

Well no harm in asking in MAN check-in / bag drop since you are there.

Not sure about the CH. They used to be able too then not - something to do with VS not wanting them to handle cash or something like that. But they should at least be able to call the ticket desk to see if anything is available.

They may point you to the desk in the connections area - far end of the main departures area rather than having to go landside and then reclear security.

i would ask at first check-in and see what they say

otherwise, at LHR the ticketing desk is in among the VS check-in desks (towards the left as you face the row of desks)

I asked at the desk on the way back from MCO this year when I was booked in PE, but on the cheapest ticket.
They had one seat only which they were prepared to let me have for £900
It seemed a lot just to let Mrs D have a flatbed so I declined the offer.
But there's no harm in asking.

Yes that is possible but VS still needs to be offering upgrades and even though there may be empty seats in a cabin it does not automatically mean upgrades will be offered.

Yes subject to availability, plus you need to have bought an upgradable ticket - if not you'll need to pay the difference between your Y/PE fare and the cheapest upgradable Y/PE fare.

They will via the Duty Free payment terminals, but for a set price which is not at all competitive.
