Now that I can book seats from 18th November could V-Flyers recommend their favourite seats in Upper for our 50th wedding anniversary trip to NYC next June on flights 009 and 004 :)

If your on a 747 you want to sit in the A zone which is at the front of the plane on the lower deck rows 12-19
On an a330 mid cabin on the A or K side ,on an a340 you want to sit facing the wall so either high As or low K's ,
I think the 787-900 may be serving this route by then aswell

thanks again :)

You'd get a better night sleep both next to windows for example 3K and 4K IMO

Hi folks sorry if I have jumped into this thread, looking for seat recommendations for premium economy trip from MAN to MCO, then back from MCO to GLA for July next year kids want to be in upper deck both ways configure is PE for five rows then E for six in the upper deck 747 400. Sorry brand new to Virgin so don't know the lingo yet. Most of the upper deck is gone in the way out currently have 21 and 22 HK both ways upstairs, should I change to lower deck to get off at MCO quicker, what cabin has the nicest atmosphere.
Thanks in advance

GrantScotland,
I had 22K on my way to Havana recently & it was a great seat. My first time in the bubble and I loved it. The storage bin by the window is very useful for bits and pieces you'd usually put under the seat. It felt very spacious. Very quiet and I thought a more personal service.
Coming back I had 19A downstairs. Great if you have to get off quickly or worry about reclining into someone else's lap as there's nobody behind you.
Personally I would choose the bubble every time. Not that many get off in front of you as all economy bar the few upstairs are held to let you off.

Keep in mind that the downstairs of the 747 some of the rows have misaligned windows in PE.

I thought that was for the LHR 747 from 34 (which has no window) to 37
