Well it looks like my ride to LHR on wed will be in a v reg ( I think ) corsa !
Now I'm no snob believe me but can I really pull up in the dtci area in that ??
I' want to use it but part of me thinks just a normal drop off at the terminal
What do you lot think ?

Am sure the DTCI have seen worse.(*)

Just make sure your luggage is in proper cases and not those square nylon type bags with check patterns. :o) :o)

(*) note I know nothing about cars so am assuming that there are worse vehicles than a corsa but all I can think off is a trabant.

Go for it. It's a post "Black Friday" statement of your rejection of conspicuous materialism. Oh, hang on.... :D

Many many years ago a group of us turned up at Park Lane Hilton in a battered VW pick up. It was valet parking and they didn't bat an eye.
Just don't make any sort of apology.
How about getting the driver to wear a chauffer uniform? Or at least suit and gloves, and have him/her get out and open your doors.

If you really want to shock the DTCI staff drive up in a white van that pulls up, rear doors open when you and your bags are just tossed out onto the concrete as the van speeds off!

.

I have ( on several occasions ) resorted to said bags ( usually when I've gone a bit mad on the retail therapy front) . They're surprisingly robust ( I carry two in the outer pocket of my case and put one inside each other ). I have had a couple of snooty looks from check in staff especially when I've reminded them to tag as priority :D .
V reg Corsa Blacky ?
Vintage car old boy ( ie tres cool) ): .

To pull this off blacky you have to step out the vehicle looking absolutely fabulous dressed head to toe in designer gear, retro sunglasses and a feather boa. The look you're going for is eccentric camp rock star - after all they bill the service, DTCI and all that as "rock start treatment". Go for it ;)

Oh, and we defo want selfies of you, the car, and one of the ground crew ):

One should never assume, many years ago we were looking at cars and there was a little old man sweeping the car park very scruffy. He was the owner of several dealerships and was worth Millions. Linda :0

Too true! We know some very expensive types and they deliberately drive what might be described as "bangers" in order to avoid undue attention! I am sure the crew at DTCI will not bat an eye :)

It has seen worse. I have been in some sort of Opel that the local minicab company I called at the last minute arrived. And I have also been in said white (it was grey really) van that Meadway sent when informed that my party was travelling with 8 suitcases. I didn't get treated any differently than when I arrived in their *cough* limo except that they took the bags out of the car (they supposedly don't for private cars for some obscure reason that they mentioned but I wasn't really paying attention to).

Vespa is a scooter?

The only Vesper I know of is an alcoholic cocktail.

Went through dtci in a corsa in September, okay it wasn't a v reg,but still a corsa. No one seemed bothered, apart from when the purple parking guy burst through the doors trying to give me back the tip I'd left for him in the visor. Just go for it,you've paid your money just like everyone else.

He wasn't japanese was he? Unusual unless company policy is not to accept tips.

Anyway, Blacky now you know.

I have two options for DTCI, I can either get one of my best mates to pick me up in Peterborough and go directly to DTCI in a red Ford Fiesta.

Or get the train to London and do a CDC from King's Cross...decisions decisions...I like the irony of going through in a Red car though...might have to get some purple stripes on it somewhere 8D 8D 8D
