I consumed the beef fillet on both LHR-JFK and JFK-LHR in September; the outbound offering was 'well done', the inbound a perfect medium-rare; that was impressive, rather like your posting from 40,000 feet!

Thanks for the replies everyone ,pleased to report the aforementioned group have now retired back to their suites ,good thing about being this end of the cabin is that you can see the bar and don't expend any unnecessary energy walking upto the bar only to find there's no room ,a tough 3 yards await

You'll be fine ,it's close but the bar was busy earlier and I can't say it affected me too much ,I get my turn at the bar and the seat belt signs come on , grrrrr !

The plane or more so the aisle on the A side isn't as wide as I thought it was going to be ,
I'm sitting here wondering if actually it would feel a bit more spacious on the K side because they don't have the wall which is a lot thicker than on the A340s and kind of reduces the aisle width down ,maybe I'm being a bit dramatic
I'm quite happy with 9a but if you want to get your head down during your outbound paul you may want to be a bit further down the front to avoid the bar lights
Overall though I do like the plane ,I had a wander down to Y earlier and sat in an empty seat and thought it was quite comfortable and had decent leg room ,unfortunately no spare PE seats to try out unless I want to plonk myself down in between 2 people

I'm not jealous (much). Hope you're having a fantastic flight, and have a great time in BOS. If you don't feel like going out straight after checkin (they'll offer you champagne on arrival!) and you're still hungry, the Revere do a decent pizza on room service. Don't touch the mini bar though, some of the most expensive in room drinks I've seen!

Cheers for the tips John , I may well indulge in the pizza although to be honest I'm pretty stuffed at the moment,,1hr til landing ,been a good enough flight ,not fantastic but good enough ,was half cut by 1 o clock to be honest ,I must admit to having the odd cup of tea or two but rest assured i had more than my fair share of peroni and bubbly

Also, snuck into the Cheesecake Factory for some calorific magic at lunchtime today. Now sitting in the BOS Clubhouse looking at the food and just wishing I was hungry.

That was my meal at Atlantic Fish, and delicious it was too. Unfortunately, my OH didn't particularly enjoy his fish and chips (he's not a fish fan, fish and chips is his fall back meal), they cooked bite size chunks of fish instead of a fillet and it just wasn't right.
