I am off to HKG in January and due to the onward routing and a few other VS issues have chosen The Dark Side over Virgin.

Luckily enough to be flying BA First so will be good to experience the Concorde Room and First on the A380. However my beef is the parking fee. Considering I am paying for First, so a fairly hefty fare, shows the money is not the issue but the principle.

Using the Heathrow Valet at T3 for the duration costs about £130 but the same service out of T5 £192. That is a huge additional margin and for what ?

As I say it is principle rather than money ... I feel like using the T3 service and catching the underground over to T5.

Anyone else come across such a mismatch ..... Perhaps there is a good reason why all T5 parking so much more than T3 but I cannot see why !

I am flying out of T5 on Sunday and was also appalled by their parking prices. I have now booked HEATHROW PURPLE PARKING BUSINESS via VS Flying Club which has the 10% discount for Au's + a bonus 250 flying club miles. Its £26.69 for 4 days.
It involves a bus trip to T5, we regularly use them for T3 and have found them to be fine. I will let you know how it works for T5 on my return.
The Hilton at T5 also has a nights stay with 15 days parking at around £149 depending on your date of travel, but the Hoppa bus will costs £4.50 each to T5.

Thanks Daffodil .... be pleased to hear how you get on..... I use PP all the time at T3 and meet them outside terminal so I can then go to DTCI which is so much easier and they whisk car off.

Thinking of using them in T3, leaving car with them and getting underground over but never used that before.

Have a good trip wherever you are off to

The Hilton at T5 is a good deal I reckon. We have used hotel stay, park and fly plans a few times now and find them quite easy.

Remember that the train is free from T123 to T5 but if you use the tube you'll still have to pay - unless you have an oyster or use contactless debit/credit card where it is free (they charge you then reimburse you).

D'oh !! Well done Daffodil ... I did not think of Purple Parking at T5 .... Their cost is the same whether T3 or T5 so much better. All now booked !

So 12 days Valet Parking with BA Exec Club £191.50 ... same service From Purple Parking on Meet & Greet at T5 less than half the price at £94.68 ..... Plus 500 Miles :) :)

Purple Parking are great. Efficient and professional and helpful.

I also use Park, Stay and Fly at the Sofitel, which can work out as a good deal sometimes. Especially if spending a few days in London before flying out as they allow you to park, return and stay another day and then collect the car when you return to the UK.
