If I book with Delta can I still use VS Miles to upgrade if there is availability? (fare is showing as W)

When I last asked the answer was no to upgrading, but you can use miles to purchase a full fare. It was 90,000 for an upper return to Atlanta. Virgin charge 80,000

I assume its Upper. What was the cost of the Delta fare... Out of interest.

Delta seem to be one of the ones who match the other fares in recent BA sales, when Virgin hasn't...

A DL 'W' fare is not the same as a VS 'W' fare even if the flight is on a VS plane.

You cannot use VS miles to upgrade a DL fare.

?| I booked a VS UC fare to BOS which precisely matched the BA 2 for 2104 CW sale (and I didn't have to pay BA's seat tax).

Yay! I waited three years for the sale to come again, decided to book PE and suffered a few weeks ago. Won't be flying PE again, and won't be doing Vegas until a fare match like that one again.

Not even Vegas UC as low as 1800 quid in the last few years apart from that.

Of course, there's always via Dublin...
