Hi guys, been a while since I've posted on here but I have a quick question. I'm booked to fly out to JFK on VS5301, operated by Delta, and was wondering if anyone on here has experience of the service? VH have said they can transfer the flight to a slightly later one with Virgin Atlantic, but if Delta isn't all that different I might not bother. Any responses would be appreciated :)

To a degree it depends on what cabin you are in.

Y will be very similar but there are big differences in Upper e.g. no bar on DL. Seat and cabin layout are different.

if you have your confirmation code you can try it...

https://www.delta.com/mytrips/

you may be able to upgrade to "economy comfort", depends on availability and other things like FC status, main benefit is extra legroom and you get on/off the plane a bit quicker

i managed to do it on one of the domestic legs of a company agent booked mixed VS-DL flight, so it does work

You should be able to request seats via The delta website. If you are flying club gold you may be able to request economy comfort for a reduced price (free on us domestic flights)
