Just checking my seat reservations at work this morning and noticed that VS have swapped my VS008 on April 11 from a 747 to a 346, I had arranged my trip ex DUB via Expedia so the flights are non flexible, the reason I chose that particular flight was because at the time it was being operated by a 747 as I much prefer the A zone of a 747 to the 346 as the beds are longer on the 747, goodbye 19A hello 2A.

First world problems I know, here's hoping they switch it back.

I'm looking forward to visiting the new Clubhouse at LAX

One interesting fact I found out from the ticketing people at VS, is that UK sold Z class fares are non-changable, however Ex-EU Z class fares are. They incur a €350 change fee.

Interesting, although I'm in no real hurry to spend €350 to change aircraft type.

Now that would be a pleasant surprise.

We are also on that exact flight on April 11th and, like you, we booked it specifically because of the 747 - and had already selected our usual seats 17 & 18A in the A-Zone!

Bummer about it changing but fingers are crossed it will change again but I will not be holding my breath...
(we also did the ex-Dub route and have noticed VS8 is later in leaving LAX in addition to the change of aircraft type)

Oh yeah I hadn't noticed the change in departure time, I now only have 65 minutes in LHR before my flight to DUB.

Maybe we will meet up at in the LAX Clubhouse.

That would be great - I think this will be the first time I've ever knowingly flown on the same flight as another v-flyer!! :)

So I got an email from Expedia a couple of days ago advising me of a schedule change at first I thought nothing of it,
then I saw that as the VS008 is set to arrive later due to the Aircraft change that my BA flight from LHR to DUB has been changed to allow appropriate connection time at LHR (changed from 1325 to 1425).
Now this means I have 20 minutes to alight the aircraft clears immigration and customs, collect my bags, check in for and board my return flight to LHR that I booked through BA based on the original flight timings, Expedia want nothing to do with it as the LHR-DUB leg is on a separate PNR, I will speak to BA in the new year but do not have high hopes of them changing a non flexible ticket.
I know I can tell VS at LAX to only check my bags through to LHR but in doing that I will miss out on 80 BA TP's which should see me into BAEC Silver.
