I have just booked four upper reward flights LHR to Boston and returning from NYC for next October.

I'm left with 380,000 miles so where else can we go? Don't fancy Shanghai as DH been for work, been to Hong Kong already....not a fan of the Caribbean. I hate Vegas. Been to Delhi.

The pull of Vancouver, Mumbai, Narita is so depressing......

[quote="richardswife28" then book cheaper internal flights to Hawaii.....[/quote]

Not sure you'll find such a thing :0 :0 . Travel from Hawaii to the mainland isn't cheap..
HA are a partner airline however :) ( and even their economy product is good).

Just looked at the mainland to Hawaii flights - 400 each!

I thought about Cuba - DH keen to go but the lack of fab hotels puts me off. Have you been G-VROS?

Might have to go over to BA to collect.......route much bigger!

Yes richardswife28, I went to Cuba in October and absolutely loved it. Was planning on waiting a few years before going again, to see how the development in Havana progressed with UNESCO money, but in view of the recent political announcement I might not wait so long.
When the 'Golden Arches' arrive, I will probably lose all interest.
Saying that, Cuba is not all about Havana and I only saw a very small part of it along the north coast.

There are some reasonable hotels in Havana and a growing business in small family run places to stay, gaining good reputations.

Whether it's your ideal holiday location very much depends on what's important to you. Please feel free to message me and I will happily go into more detail. I could enthuse for a good while longer, but don't want to clutter up the site!!

Finally, Cuba is extremely safe. I was there for 10 days alone and never had a single issue.

I would 2nd/3rd Cuba - Went a few years ago. Loved it. OK the hotels aren't Sandals standard but still had a great time.

Assuming your doing a Fly Drive to Boston / New York?
If you don't mind driving - what about Florida & driving the Keys down to Key West?

Funny you say Boston / New York
Its a trip I am doing July/August (Boston Drive to Niagara - Hershey - Washington - Train to Philly - NY)

I'm hoping to do the same next August y) I've only heard good stuff about Cuba. Keep in mind VS don't fly every day though, so I'd do it ASAP if I were you just to make sure you get UC.

A few years back I drove Orlando to the keys and it took 6 hours :0, I'd recommend flying but you miss the glorious sights on the way. I'll never forget once you leave Miami it's beautiful, sea to the left and sea to the right :)

We are actually flying into Boston, flying to DC, then train to Philly and finally NYC 7 nights. Was the only way ww could get UC rewards. 2 nights Boston, 4 DC, 1 Philly, 7 NYC. We got married in NYC so it's a special place for us....

Now, hotels......!

I second Florida. Fly into MCO drive down the Gulf Coast, Sanibel, Captiva, Naples then Everglades then down the Keys (awesome drive), Key West, back up via Miami, Ft Lauderdale up to St Augustine then back over to MCO. 2 to 3 wks. sorted.
