Oh Lord grant me patience with VS's useless IT systems!

We booked last week our next flights to USA to visit family - April/May, LHR to EWR, M to G and not great prices either, alas but nevertheless all booked. In hindsight, am I glad we booked the seats via the FC agent instead of waiting and reserving for ourselves via MMB.

Thought I'd check though and see that we are in the seats we'd asked for. Flights are showing up, click through and then click on "View or change seats". "The seat map is unavailable". I've emailed customer services twice complaining, they have said they've asked IT about it but no matter, not a problem, we can always phone or use Live Chat. Yeah, in your dreams people, I haven't all day to wait on the phone, and Live Chat always shows "All our agents are busy".

In any case, given the regularity with which some of you are reporting flight time changes/aircraft changes, I want to be able to check for these and more than a week later, the same "seat map unavailable" message is still showing.

I've said unless it's sorted, I'll email Craig Kreeger which clearly I'll have to do. I'm not on Twitter, what about FB?

Any thoughts dear V-Flyers before you all go off in a haze of fizz for Christmas?

I have been able to check mine and shortly before t-60 very few seats had been allocated. I don't think the majority of people are aware the new seat booking system is working. (although not in your case) So I wouldn't worry too much at this stage 4 months away.
I have just checked mine for Feb flight and its allowed me in.

Doesn't help your particular issue, but it's not a generic problem as I can see both my future flights and seat maps for same.

Shame LiveChat is saying it's too busy, as when I used it a few weeks back it got me the result I wanted (a VS, rather than Delta, metal flight).
