I was looking around the site for a sticky/clinic type post that would explain all about the Flying club and the sweet spots etc, but couldn't find such a thing.

Does it exists?

Anyway, what is the best way to spend 200,000 miles to get 4 to orlando and back from jfk?

Om looking around the FC site I can see that UC seats to MCO are very very rare and non-existent for 4 (even 2x2 on separate flights)

I can see that there tends to be more availability to Miami and atlanta. So would probably go for that route and drive up/down.

For the way back, the gang insist on day flights, so thought we would fly up to new york, spend a couple of days there and then get the day flight back.

So after all that, am I best spending the miles as 200,000 UC reward to mia with combi Y back from JFK?

OR M class all ways and upgrade, or is there a better way?

I'f its M's how do I see that pricing?

Personally I think upgrading from M to G is the best use of miles so if you can find G availability to MIA or ATL and back from JFK on the dates you want, do it.

You'll also benefit from the superior UC facilities at LHR on the way out and from the pleasant Clubhouse at JFK on the way back. (Incidentally I'd pick MIA over ATL, purely because the VS5 uses a 747 which has a far better UC cabin than the A330 used on the ATL route.)

You used to be able to get M fares on the VS website but alas no longer so unless you know how to use the ITA matrix you'll have to call them.

It's true G's to Otlando are hard to come across but I managed to get 4 in the same flight for travel in late September at the time I booked At least 2 and up to 5 seats were available on nearly every flight for a 10-12 day period, this at a time of year where only 1 flight operates a day from LGW and all were on 747's.

It is possible so keep on checking!! I also booked returns from NYC as could not find any returns from MCO at all.
