Hello, its been a while since I flew in Economy with Virgin but took advantage of their Miles Sales (25%) and have booked Vegas for October. ^)

Suggestions on the best seats to take.

(I was thinking Row 75 Upstairs?)

Thanks in advance

Pay for an extra leg room seat. I just flew in economy on the way home from Orlando and it was fairly terrible in an ordinary seat.

yes, upstairs in 75 is excellent, perhaps the best legroom outside UC, plus much more peaceful than the exit row seats in the main cabin, i had a really good sleep in 75 coming back from MCO a while back, i thought it was comfier than in PE (i'm tall/leggy)

downside is the tray table etc. in the armrest, so you lose a bit of width, and if you are travelling as a couple flipping up the armrest for a bit more space is not possible

not tried an EC legroom seat, but i was in a standard EC for 6 hours and was really stiff the next few days, tbh i find even PE cramped once it gets past 6-7 hours, had a very slow PE flight to ATL last week, almost 10 hours, i was ready to climb the walls well before we landed!

If this is a 747, a lot of folks seem to like row 64...or those right at the back, anyway.

Also, depends how many are travelling, as the way the EC seats are clustered in 3s, 5s etc means you need to be a bit careful.

Agree with Concorde - if you're in a 2 on 747 I prefer side seats at back. Only drawback is that you may not always get first choice of meal, and will be one of last off plane.

Row 75! We flew out here to Florida on the 27 a week ago and having not flown long haul in economy for some years we were happy to have chosen these seats. They felt v narrow and you do have to get a bit cosy with the passenger next to you (and I am not a big guy) but the virtually unlimited legroom in these seats is the best you're going to get in economy on any airline.

Have managed to get Row 75 both ways, it looked like they were the only ones being booked, luckily 2 of my friends have got them as well. Does anyone know how much extra space you get in the extra legroom seats downstairs.

75 is good but if it's not available try the extra leg room seats, it's only a few inches more legroom but boy it really does make a difference on long haul.

I also second the seats at the back in rows of 2, food choice is usually limited as your the last to be served but it didn't bother me as I eat anything

Either way enjoy Vegas and I hope you bring a few dollars back

All VS aircraft have extra leg room seats in economy now.
