We are certainly not DYKWIA types, and i must be honest that the blood drained from my wife's face as the program unfolded. Im sure some of the action we saw was just for TV, or at least i hope it was :0

Sorry folks but I'm going to disagree with most of you....I watched the programme and just thought OMG how sleezy!!! Mr B does himself no favours and just came across as a dirty old man, most of the staff seemed quite happy to practically prostitute themselves to keep their jobs....

All the money in the world would not make me want to stay there, I think there seemed to be an undercurrent of very bad taste behaviour (bit like a swingers island....anything goes type thing - not my cup of tea).

Both me and my husband agreed Necker is not for us, also when I discussed it at my office the next day - my boss who if he wanted to, could easily afford to go, said both his and his wife agreed that it seemed totally sleezy.

Sorry guys.... :(! :(!

Was having a look at some of the other Virgin properties yesterday and got quite excited about the Lodge in Verbier. VX offer three nights there for 175,000 miles which seemed worth a look. Unfortunately with VS miles it's 350,000. And you can only go in summer :( Not really sure why it costs so much more with VS miles compared to VX - Necker is 1.2M VS miles and 1.75M VX.

Shame, it looked really good fun, but there's no way I'm £4.5 for three nights' ski lodging!

I'm pretty much with you on that sgilly74, I'd be giving Necker a big n(

I'd even give it a :$ especially when I heard RB say that he always made sure the single girls on the staff are "well looked after" :$

Same here sgilly74. I thought the island looked beautiful and can imagine, for some, its the ultimate destination. But, mixing with a load of people who want to know how you made your money, doesn't appeal. Plus, some of their ideas of 'fun', are certainly not the same as mine and can imagine if your just going for a chill out and relax, your been pulled up to dance at night and viewed as boring if you don't get involved.

I'm quite sure they picked particular clips to show things the way they wanted for the programme. Whilst there was certainly an impression given about the island and the sort of holiday people have there, there was very little of substance to back this up.

I suspect it's actually a lot tamer and more pleasant than people are thinking on here. In the interests of science I'd be happy to go for a week or two and find out...

To me Necker has always been about the exclusivity, if money was no object I'd be booking the whole island and sharing it with people I wanted to be there.
I didn't even know you could book it as individuals

I caught it on catchup. Like these later posts I rather wish I hadn't, but out of interest I did sit through it.

It does no favours for SRB and gives one the impression it's his "plaything" along with the staff and most of the brash guests. It made my skin crawl.

I thought the clip with the fancy dress costumes being left on the guests beds was like something from an 18-30's holiday!!! lol.

I thought SRB had more taste....he just gave the impression of being a dirty old man!! Yes I agree if I had the funds I would rent the whole island, and not want to share it with strangers but even the staff left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, think they would make me a bit uncomfortable. I think there are other nicer places in the world
