It is interesting that VS has price matched some of the ex-DUB flights. But I was after silver card.

Did this to Vegas via the cancelled Babybus from London City. Some thoughts.

The Dublin to City Club Europe is actually really quite nice. I actually was stuffed after the meal. They routed me back through Heathrow on way back and that wasn't half as nice.

Didn't get a champers like in Upper on the Babybus on the way to Shannon. Forward facing seats are nice, but the seats aren't quite as wonderful as made out to be. Pre clear was nice though. Luggage off fast the other end.

Didn't ever feel as if BA were limiting the booze at any point, like Virgin seem to do by default now ("saving for the way back, etc")

Ipads handed out on Babybus were far more up to date than the 747 on the way back.

American Airlines flight was actually very good to Vegas. Plenty of booze, the Inflight is bearable with the little screen dropped down and one film. Food was nice too. People compared it with PE, it is in a way, but someone reclined and it was completely fine. That's not true of PE in any way now. Recline = horrible...

Got routed back via Chicago and on a 747. Nice enough on the upper deck. Different films. The IFE screens are not very good though. Definitely blurred and old in the modern days. Lounge was ok, food was nice, but rest felt a bit Priority pass.

T5 Heathrow North Lounge felt like a very very crowded Priority Pass lounge...

I get the impression Upper is aiming at First rather than Club. If they'd only not missed the point with the booze...

Thanks for your thoughts on this!

Galleries North is definitely the busiest of the lounges at T5, Galleries South is much larger so at least seem quieter, and often Galleries T5B is empty (same capacity as Galleries North and there were less than 40 people in there last Friday early afternoon)
