I once saw Ronnie Wood, he of Rolling Stones fame, with his girlfriend, around five years ago. I'll never forget this, because his check-in procedure was so different to any experience I had. I wasn't using DTCI that day, so I was checking in at the desk and when I turned to get something out of my hand luggage I saw him walk with his girlfriend with a VS rep straight to the lift that led to the private security bit. I can only presume that he used the check in at the DTCI. Just before he did go to the lift, however, he did turn round to me and go "OI!" and gave me a thumbs up. Why?



.... because when I first saw him, almost like a reflex action, I blurted out "F***in hell, its Ronnie Wood!" (massive Stones fan).


Cue awkward embarrassing moment when we both walked up to the Clubhouse Bar together too but I was too starstruck to say anything.

I flew to SYD in UC in 2013 and there was a self proclaimed Zleb onboard trying to tell me who he was whilst drinking all the mini bottles of JD at the bar, I never watch Big Brother but it was "Nasty Nick" ?|

I've been on the same flight as Robert de Niro, quiet fella unassuming gentleman, Rod Stewart and his wife, Olly Murs to LA but he recognised me as we had been in the same club in Barbados over new year - charming down to earth guy.

We were on a flight with Emma Thompson once, but haven't spotted anyone else. I must admit I don't pay enough attention sometimes! We went thrpugh immigration in Canada once with Robert Patrick, Mitch Pileggi and John Carpenter, but we were all going to the same place for a business event so seeing them wasn't too surprising.

I wouldn't know if I had seen anyone famous or not on a flight as I just don't pay enough attention and my facial recognition skills are very poor!

However, sat in Green Park in December near the Japanese Embassy and David Cameron jogged past in lycra with his security entourage. My one and only claim to to celeb spotting!

Seeing Jeremy Clarkson walk past me while I was sat in Pizza Express in Soho is a memory I am trying to expunge!

I've seen Bradley Walsh in UC on the VS6 a few years ago

Kate Winslet, LHR-JFK, UC, up in the nose section in a 747. She sat next to me, with Ned, ahem, Rocknroll next to her, and two of her children next to him. I saved my own relationship by swapping seats with my other half so that she could sit next to KW, once the seat belt sign went off..

KW was down to earth, and extremely funny (about the VS sleep suits in particular). I didn't know it that the time but they were flying to New York to get married 'in secret'.

I wonder if they all flew for free, considering Ned's VS connection?
