If 300 TPs were the only criteria I know people who would be lifetime in a matter of months (well maybe 15-18!).

Oh, and there's the one million miles flown criteria (not FC miles but route miles) that also gets lifetime.

I am lifetime platinum on United I think, of course, they will scrap that when it suits, on VS I am sure it means something and will endure.
