I am a little confused, did you mean that you would hate to get moved, rather than have to get moved? You do know that in upper class you can select your seats without paying any surcharge now?

I suspect AJC means that the configuration of seats which are still free means any passengers trying to sit together now will be disappointed as there is only a set of 3 and a 1. Two couples could cause a move.

Seat requests are just that, requests.

Yes I selected my seats as soon as the new system went live. :D

Exactly right. If two couples book/upgrade to the remaining seats it will mean a shuffle about so they can sit together which is why I want to do OLCI as soon as it opens ):

I'm travelling alone in UC so as long as someone doesn't try to move me near to the bar on night flights then I don't worry too much, as most of my flights are the Gatwick ones so the cabin is very small. On the Heathrow UC configurations I like looking at the back of someone else's seat rather than their feet, so I might complain if they tried to move me :-)

I was surprised to hear about the snobbery experienced by Honey Lamb, my first ever UC trip was a free upgrade from economy and I could not have looked any scruffier as on long haul I dress for comfort not to impress. But of course having experienced UC for free it quickly became the only way to fly!
