My sister and her family are flying to Orlando in October
Flight VS75 and VS 76 home.
Seats in Economy 2 adults and 7year old daughter.

Ive been trying to advise her on which seats to book, or at least watch. Ive been on to her "manage my booking page" and the air craft is showing as having Ecomony seats upstairs in the "bubble" there and back. When Ive looked on seat maps on here they arent showing any economy seats upstairs?

Can anyone verify?
I think she will be better reserving the seats upstairs in bubble, better flight in my opinion...

All of the gla/man/lgw 747 fleet have a small economy section upstairs.

Think it's the back half of the upstairs cabin

Edit make sure you select Boeing 747 Config LGW -1 near the bottom of the list of aircraft.

GO FOR THE BUBBLE. ^) y)

It feels much more private than the main Y cabin downstairs and is also much quieter.

Do it - you know it makes sense!

I know Treelo, we travelled back from Orlando ourselves last year, we were in PE in the bubble - loved it, night flight much quieter.

Its the 1st time my sister has flown with VA so Im trying to help her.

Just be aware that, if it's a quiet flight, passengers who've booked seats in the bubble may be moved downstairs to ensure the aircraft is properly balanced.

If that happens you can normally move back upstairs after take-off.

Definitely the Bubble, but let her know that the overhead lockers are slightly smaller than downstairs, so that she takes appropriate hand baggage!! Larger bags are stored in the wardrobe at the back, but are less easily accessible!

I flew Economy in the bubble both ways to the U.S. last year and it was brilliant. So much so, when we booked for Mexico this May, I paid to get the seats in the bubble again. More peaceful, great service - absolutely loved it and would recommend it every time. It's also my Mums first VS flight and I wanted to make it a bit special for her. She's never been upstairs on a flight before!!!

Got my sister sorted this morning. She has got seats in the bubble going out and coming home (night flight - so will be quiet for her 7 year old daughter to sleep). She hasn't flown with VA before so hopefully it will be a good experience for her. She was a little bit annoyed that she also had to pay the £25 seat reservation for the 7yr old aswell as theirs but hey-ho. I smugly told her that as I fly PE I don't have to pay!!! hahah :) :). Now I just have to get her sat down to get her esta's sorted.

Quick question: Do children need esta's aswell as adults?

Yes, everyone needs an esta or if not approved, a visa
