We did the very similar trip about 5 years ago. It was one of the best holidays we have had, apart from the Canadian rockies. You will really enjoy Yosemite and hopefully all the waterfalls will be at full pelt at the time of year you are going. Hope you gave some trusty footwear. Linda y)

I was in Yosemite on Sunday and there is an abundance of water in the falls at the moment. No snow on the valley floor either. And more importantly not a lot of tourists. :)

I think by the end of April the Park will certainly be pretty busy, especially as its the Easter school hols.

We are having to pack for two climates. Arizona will be well into the upper 80's and then once in Yosemite we will need coats and like you say good footwear.

All part of living the dream :D

Don't forget that parts of Arizona are hot in the day but very cold at night. When we went horse riding there (nearly a decade ago now) we had to go out and buy warm clothes for the post sundown get togethers.

Hev60 wrote:Title change to Virgin Atlantic are kind & compassionate.

I have just received a telephone call from the Executive Office and they have very kindly allowed us to move onto the V7 which will allow us to make our internal connections.

I cannot express how grateful I am for their intervention and subsequent decision.

I feel very emotional but with happy tears now :D :D

Thank you my fellow v-flyers for your all your supportive comments and suggestions ^)

A great result and without too much cost to VS. I remember the days when Hev60 wouldn't have had to go through all this as this level if service (end result customer happy) was the Virgin away of doing business.

My time change of VS23 was not as disruptive, but I did stick a complaint in about it, and about a rather rude advisor I spoke to in the call centre.

I got an email back from Customer Relations which throughout the email they referred to me as Mrs...now yes I have been known to be a bit of a Drama Queen and my nickname is Duchess amongst my friends, but nevertheless I was not impressed!!

Anyway, a lovely manager rang me back today, possibly the same woman that dealt with you Hev60, as I quoted that I knew people on G class fares had had G's created on the 7 for them and she was aware of it. She did offer to move me if that was what I wanted, but I explained that my complaint was more about how they had dealt with me.

Anyway, they offered me £100 VS vouchers or 15K Miles. I took the miles which I thought was a good all round resolution!

Oh and she reminded some of her staff to read their emails and check if the customers are men or women!!

Shouldn't be too chilly in April, esp if the current trend is to continue, it's around 25C here in SF today.

I read the posts with interest. I booked on VS23 the day before they changed the schedule time. I obviously looked at the VS7 flight but the extra expense didn't justify the hour or so difference in timings, however when that hour became a four hour difference I phoned up VA and asked if I vould change to the VS7.
They were very accomodating and switched us with the minimum of fuss (£180 in total for 5 pax) so thumbs up all round from me! We get to go early and we get to go on the 789.......Thankyou Virgin!
