As previously mentioned by me ( and probably unnoticed by all) I have been unable to do much traveling in the past year. Only a few Little Reds to and from London and one reward UC to Vancouver so I knew that my four year Gold Card was soon disappear into the annals of history.
However this morning I have received a new Silver Card, much to my surprise as I expected to drop to Red! ?| I have regularly checked my account and it still shows the "old" 009 number, non of this really matters to me but my I pose a delicate question to you all?
Should I now replace my "I travel Gold" luggage tags with my new "I travel Silver" on the presumption that no one will get close enough to see that the former is past the sell by date, thus maintaining the awe and respect of fellow travellers :P (I appreciate staff will be aware of my lowly status!) :?

I have just gone back down to red after having been Silver for three years, it took three months for Virgin to change the account and send out another card. My number is now starting with an 007 not gone back to the original 006 which it did a few years ago when I was only Silver for a year then went back down to Red on my original FCC number?

Keep the Au tag on your carry-on luggage; it's rather more elegant than the silver replacement; VS know your true status, so it doesn't really matter except to pedants.

I still travel with a Pan-Am, Sterling silver Concorde, the inaugural Little Red MAN-LHR and the Mile High Club tags.

I made the Pan-Am tag, myself.
