I mentioned in a recent TR that there was not enough smoked salmon starters and Mrs D volunteered me to have soup. In the end I had gnocchi which was very nice. We had a great laugh about trying to eat soup in the turbulence. In addition 4000 miles in flight customer relations has appeared on my flying club account. Thank you Virgin.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on landing at Orlando. There was no way to make tea and only one breakfast tea bag in the room. Also some loud banging early in the night. Hyatt send out a questionnaire which I completed giving 10/10 on most questions. This morning I have an email that I am being credited $75 on my card for the disruption. Thank you Hyatt.

Sadly it is Saturday which means a week of my holiday has already gone.

Well done Dick, good to hear that although you had disappointments, you've got something in amelioration.

Eating soup (or trying to) in turbulence reminds me of years ago on a cross-channel hovercraft in rather bumpy conditions when a woman in the rear-facing seats at the front of the cabin was trying to drink something and kept failing to get the glass to her mouth. After umpteen attempts, she finally succeeded and everyone applauded.

A week gone, that's sad. Enjoy every minute of the rest of your holiday.
