Baggage Check Through Virgin America- Virgin Atlantic

Hi..Just wondered if anyone knows...
We are flying back from Vegas via San Francisco. I have booked reward seats on the SFO-LHR route and was wondering if we booked Virgin America from Las Vegas to SFO would we be able to get our bags checked in all the way through to LHR from Las Vegas? Would the best option be to book the internal flight with Virgin Atlantic? Does anyone has any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

not sure if they can do it, but i'd try calling FC and see if they can book/add the VX leg to your booking, aside from simplifying things it gives you cover in the event of a delay cauing a missed connection

Usually theres the rule of it must be on the same booking PNR however if you ring up as suggested they might be able to do something for you. If not I have heard of cases where they have checked bags through even if not on same PNR/Booking.
