A333 changes?

I see on Vssource that one a333 at a time are having some sort of maintenance at Gatwick, I saw on a thread a few weeks ago that they may be filling the dividers and taking away a few UC seats to make the UCDS better. Is this the changes being introduced?

Probably just rotations that cover the A333 Caribbean services and maintenance. If any changes are made to the UCDS if will only be small things like frosting the dividers etc. Removing individual suites won't make the remaining "better", same as removing a few pieces of a jigsaw does nothing to make the remaining pieces better, all you end up with is a gaping hole where the removed pieces once were.
VS would have to rip out the entire UC cabin, trash it and start from scratch with an entirely new set of suites to change the size of any invididual suite. £££££££'s

Did I imagine the thread the other day which confirmed the dividers had been frosted?

I also remember mention of a seat or two being removed……will try and dig out the threads and link to them.

I was told by CC that they are removing one suite each on the window sides, as well as frosting over the glass and 're-aligning' the seats. I have no idea how the suite removal/re-alignment is even possible, so take it with a large pinch of salt!

Realigning the seats is impossible. Every seat in the cabin interconnects with the one in front, behind or to the side in the case of the D/G seats. You do not remove one or two and achieve the result of giving the remaining seats an inch or two extra room as you would in W or Y when you remove a row. As I posted before, the entire cabin would have to be replaced, unless VS find a way of melting down the plastics and metals and reforming them to fill in the gaps that would be left by removing one or two seats here and there.
