Sitting on Dover beach Barbados watching the VS29 flying overhead. It was a 747 on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday and an Airbus 333 on the other days. It comes in regularly before BA. Another 6 days before heading home on the VS30!

Fun isn't it - do the same at lunch most days when sitting in the Waterfront at Turtle Beach a few hundred metres down the coast.

Also, the AA flight from Miami around 19:30 that I've taken a few times!

I did exactly the same in Miami last year, watch the 5 come in when I was on the beach and the 6 leave when I was at the bar!
Wish I was away right now...in the sun. That said it's nice in pontypool...the bees are flying!

Sounds a bit more sedate than what happens at St Maarten Airport - where people get up close and personal!

Concorde RIP, we are staying at Sandals right next door to Turtle Beach.

Ultreen, what ? Bees flying in Pontypool. Spring must have sprung in sunny Wales!

tontybear , I've been on that KLM flight flying into St Maarten, it's scary

I love the feeling when one gets off the plane at the start of a holiday and sees all the poor folk waiting to board to fly home.
Unfortunately, all too soon , it is the other way round ! :#

Tonty's photo reminds me of landing at Auckland. The plane comes lower and lower and even lower and you're over the sea. The wheels are down but you're still over the sea. Then, just as you decide you're going to ditch in the water, the end of the runway appears under the wheels and you touch down, just (and only just) in time.

Fantastic place though, and a wonderful country.
