We paid for the Guestlist service on the outbound journey, which was great. The car was on time and we were lucky with traffic so we got there much quicker than we would have using public transport. I loved using the upper class entry and security, and we were sitting in the lounge what seemed like minutes after we had arrived at the airport.

I've never sat upstairs on a flight before so was a bit apprehensive, but actually we loved it. I loved having the littler shelf underneath the window to put my scarf / feet on and it didn't seem like there was less leg room. the overhead cabins weren't very but, but I always keep my bag with me so it was only my coat and hat to go in the locker so that fit fine. Weirdly the upstairs on the flight was quite empty - only half the seats were taken but I'm pretty sure it was full downstairs. Meant we had a quiet flight though!

Food wise it was pretty unimpressive, but we ate a lot in the lounge (of course) so it didn't matter so much. I had beef for main with mustard mash, but it was a bit too mustardy for me to finish. The 'afternoon tea' was nice enough, except I had the cheese wrap and only had half as I noticed that it contained 60% of my RDA of fat!!

There's quite a good film package on at the moment, I watched The Theory of Everything and Cake, which are both worth watching.

Aside from the food the flight out was as good as expected!

A bit of a deja vu for me (apart from the guest list), since I was on the upper deck in economy of the VS9 a couple weeks ago :) I had the beef, too (and in fact the exact same thing from LGW on the way to St Lucia in Jan), and I was at my upper limit of mustardness with that mash so I can completely understand what you mean! I also watched the Theory of Everything on that flight :p

Glad you had a nice flight, and thank you for the TR.

Thanks for the TR. sounds like the guest list was good value in your opinion? Upper deck EC is ace, seems like your own exclusive cabin y)

Thanks for posting ^)
