Dear All,

I have been out of circulation for a couple of years and re-engaged with some UC flights between DC-LHR (my preferred route).

The VA website was extremely aggravating, and I am wondering if there are known problems being addressed or whether it is just my luck?

The initial booking (5 days ago) was carried out over the phone because the website kept losing the reservation. The phone queue took over 20 minutes to get to me- for Upper Class!!! On the phone the agent told me that the website closes at 5am UK time and so no bookings can go through - Is this true?

Today I managed to request seats, but not after logging back in multiple times. It is as if it "forgets" you, and is jumping between old and new websites.

Finally, attempts to enter the Advanced Passenger information, throw up an error and say to call them.

Anybody out there know what is going on?

TS.

PS using Firefox browser, no proxy, no blocking (but no flash). Also tried Chromium, same problems.

The website never closes... Sounds like you got a very 'special' phone rep.

To make any customer wait 20 minutes, when there are competitors, is unacceptable. You should email/write to Virgin HQ, to let them know. A friendly "What the hell are you doing?" might be what they need.

Many thanks. I was wondering how unlucky I was, though the phone rep was polite, I was concerned they could not verify the ticket immediately. Granted I was given a "A111AA" code, but no other receipt.

As an aside, I preferentially choose VS for this flight, but have the Delta planes been uniformly improved?

Finally, has anyone been in the VS Dreamliners? I read that apparently it has the capability for higher cabin pressure and humidity leading to a more comfortable flight.

TS

Edit: Changed VA to VS, as suggested by NN.
