Hi All,

Was browsing the forums, like you do, and while enjoying the thread "Economy to Premium Economy Voucher Rant" I came across the tip from International Hitman that I had seen, but not acted on, before to see your history from year dot:

"There is actually a way to see all your history --- Log into your FC account, on Your Account Summary page scroll down to "Last 5 transactions" and press the Update button beside it --- URL line changes and middle section will say statementSelection=0 change the 0 to an 8 and Hey Presto -- your statement from the beginning of time"

Triggered a mass of memories of trips - has anyone else done this and, like me, found themselves reminiscing for ages about an 'old' trip or two?

Share your thoughts / memories if you dare!

My first flight with VS was in PE LGW-LAS in 2005 - my only specific memory of that was thinking on the way back, also in PE, that if I had been a bit less reckless on the gambling I could have afforded Upper .... many flights with VS in E and PE later I finally did make that first Upper flight ( BGI-LGW in 2008 ) and it's been so hard to ever turn right ever since :-)

Can't match the 6 pages of Daffodil's travels but the 4 pages on mine certainly brought a few smiles to my face and caused a trawl through some of the old trip photos which tied me up for a few hours this morning :-)

Wow,
I thought I had only been with Virgin four years.
I had forgotten we signed up to Flying Club in 05
and accrued miles on Air Malaysia to Oz and Delta to the States.
Then I struggled to use the miles and complained to Virgin that they kept sending emails telling me I could fly off somewhere exotic, but when I tried there were no seats.
I got a call from a wonderful lady who explained the system, but most of what she said went over my head. She took pity and checked for reward seats on a daily basis and rang me when the rare MCO Upper seats were available.
That was back in 2012 and from then we haven't looked back.
With the help of V Flyers I now understand the system and already have my Upper reward seats 6A 6K for 2016 trip.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
Keep these wonderful tips coming.

When I came across this little trick, I couldn't help but create a spreadsheet to calculate the number of miles I've collected since becoming a FC member in 2007 (427K).

That being said, my first ever flight with Virgin was in 2005 to Miami. I went with some ladies who worked at VS and they had managed to get me a flight for £60 and that was PE out and EC on the way back. Brilliant first experience of Virgin!

Then in 2007 I was stationed out in Mumbai for 3 months doing some training at an outsourcing partner my company had teamed up with. I remember the first UC flight very well, getting picked up in a fancy Volvo, DTCI (oh my god!), checking in 3 suitcases around 80kg in weight with all my possessions that would make the hotel suite a second home for the next 3 months. Sampling many a cocktail in the CH whilst I waited for my colleagues to turn up. Experiencing a head, neck and shoulder massage on board (glad I tried this as they soon phased it out).

Other memorable flights include Las Vegas in 2010 for my partners 30th, Cancun for my 30th in 2012 (even more memorable as we managed to bag UC upgrades on the way back!), Cancun (again) in 2014 for my best friend's wedding.

I was surprised when I totalled up how many reward flights/miles upgrades I've managed to book in this short period. I really love Virgin and after hearing my partner talk about his work travel in BA CW, I would take Virgin UC anyday.

Next reward flight is to Boston in 5 days time, a place I've wanted to visit for many years so we are spending a long weekend there and then making our way down to New Orleans for a week which is another place i've wanted to see for a long time now. I've also completely cleared out both our accounts booking a one way to Hong Kong in UC in November (coming back using Avios on Cathay).

Looks like a happy 10 year anniversary for me travelling with Virgin y)
